A TRIBUTE TO MARIE
Aurelie Fah, the founder of AFK Events, was inspired by her mother's flair and elegance when it came to throwing chic parties. Her mother, Marie, had a talent for organizing elaborate events for large groups of people, and her guests always had a fantastic time. Aurelia decided to follow in her mother's footsteps and create unforgettable experiences for others.
In 2008, Aurelia discovered her passion for event management while working for Sodexo USA. She was responsible for planning and executing weekly conferences nationwide, despite having studied Marketing and Finance as an undergrad. But her innate knack for event planning, honed by years of watching her mother's parties, enabled her to excel at her job.
Over the years, Aurelia became the go-to planner for her community and turned her hobby into a lifetime career. That's how AFK Events & Designs was born. She went on to work as an event manager for Guitar Center, further honing her skills.
Today, based in Silver Spring, Maryland, AFK Events is a thriving business that has been serving the greater DC metropolitan area since 2021. Aurelia and her team specialize in corporate and social events, and they are passionate about creating the perfect ambiance for their clients' guests. AFK Events stays up-to-date with the latest trends in the market and works with vendors who share their commitment to creating unforgettable experiences.
